My mom came to Illinois from Cocula,Mexico when she was about 20ish with her 5 year old son. She came to America to escape the dangers of Mexico. She came to live with her dad how was living in America at the time.
Since both my parents are Hispanic i was raised with Mexican traditions and religion, which is catholic. Now that I'm older religion isn't as simple. I'm atheist, my mom is christian, and my dad is still catholic and it's a really sore subject in my family. When I was in about 3rd or 4th grade my aunt moved in and i got a dog so it was really crowded and I got used to a loud and crowed environment. Ever notice that sometimes I talk really loud, ya that's why. A lot of other things happened but that's for a different lends. My parents separated and it was really weird at first and i didn't understand what was happening but the next thing I knew I live in two different houses. I didn't travel at all when I was little except to camp in Indiana and even now my family doesn't travel a lot and after I learned about how big the world is I've always wanted to travel everywhere. In Illinois you get a variety of weather. It could go from freezing cold to wet and mushy to hot and humid and being raised in Illinois the weather report was always a surprise. Geography shaped me into who I am because it helped me think about the future and the world.
